Maria Luisa (Malu) Tejada de Rivero MD, MPH

From losing her mother as a teenager to the unexplained full-term stillbirth of her son Pablo in 2010, grief has been part of Malu’s life. A former ob-gyn, she is a fierce advocate for stillbirth awareness and prevention, culturally sensitive postpartum bereavement care, and reproductive justice. She currently works as an Extension educator at Penn State Extension, where she offers a webinar called “Grief and Loss Every Day,” among many other topics. She is also a certified bilingual Mental Health First Aid instructor.
